Getting Ready for Christmas
Now is the time to start thinking about all those people who look forward to getting a book for Christmas. I know I always love to give children a selection of books so they can have some quiet time when the mad rush of excitement over the new toys has become a bit too much. Give their eyes a rest from the xbox or playstation and encourage them into a world of wonder, of adventure, of magic or just pure fun. The old favourites of Roald Dahl , J.K.Rowling and Enid Blyton never go out of fashion. There’s a new Wimpy Kid book out for this Christmas too. And how about a few jokes on Christmas morning, can you really refuse to laugh when you get woken up at 6am with a ‘ knock knock who’s there ‘……
For the adults there are so many great autobiographies and non fiction books which are published to coincide with this time of year – Gay Byrne, Tony Ryan ( of Ryanair ) Alex Ferguson, D.J.Carey, John Bishop to name but a few.
So visit your local book shop where there will be lots of choice and someone there to help you pick the right book.
